Helen discovered spoken word poetry in 2014, and has been performing in slams, open mics and shows since. She describes her poetry style as "funny tragedy" and has covered topics such as illness and disability, grief, relationships, body image, consent, and recovery from depression.
Helen Vivienne Fletcher is a Wellington children's and young adult author, spoken-word poet, playwright and creative writing tutor. She performs her work Stick-abled in this video directed, shot and edited by Rajeev Mishra.
